Robbie was born and brought up in Burnside Farmhouse. Once married, he re-built the older farm crofthouse, 100 yards from Burnside. It was here that his children were brought up. Now, Robbie and Joy have re-furbished Burnside into a family home, incorporating three rooms for bed and breakfast.
Burnside sits on the outskirts of Stromness, on a slight hill. Therefore it enjoys some off the most stunning views you'll ever see. You'll see a panorama, the nature of the view altering as the moments pass. Orkney is a land of flat undulating green between deep changeable seas. The skies are vast and open.
